Nick was originally certified RYT-200 in 2008. In addition to teacher training with Jonny Kest, Nick continually enhances his knowledge and technique by regularly undertaking additional studies with practitioners including Shiva Rea, Paul Grilley, Mark Stephens, Tias Little, and many others. Nick's approach is to help students explore and use asana to enhance individual well-being.
Nick approaches yoga as a psychophysical practice of self-understanding that adapts to the individual and releases physical and mental tensions that limit life. Nick also sees yoga as a tool that adjusts physical and mental issues, slows the aging process, increases strength, flexibility and overall well-being, and enhances sensual life, posture, skin and vitality.
At Karma Yoga he currently substitutes Karma 1-3, Wall, Gentle, Yin, and Short Form Ashtanga.
