Meaghan MacKenzie Rock
Meaghan grew up studying dance and gymnastics. She attended her first yoga class as a young teen and giggled through most of it.
While at DePaul University, she gave yoga another try in order to regain flexibility and calm her mind and soon became intrigued by the little doses of yogic philosophy and spiritual discourse she got in some classes.
Gravitating towards teachers who chanted Sanskrit mantras and taught from classical yoga texts, Meaghan did her 200-hr teacher training with Dharma Mittra, and her 300-hr training with Sharon Gannon and David Life of Jivamukti Yoga. What she loves so much about both lineages is the intense physical practice accompanied by a deep focus on classical yogic teachings, which include meditation. Meaghan is also a Yoga Facilitator at the Inner Door Center for Eating Disorders and Addiction Recovery.
She loves traveling and hanging with her best dog friend, Guillermo.
